Chris Cheeney

CDC Accounting was launched in 2014 after a conversation with Simon Lotinga, Simon was a business coach for my wife’s business. He said “if you do what you’ve done for Pure Perfection for other Salon Owners you have the power to change their lives”. I’d never even thought about running my own practice, but if I can change lives; then that’s the kind of Job satisfaction I want!

My business was initially set up to help Salon Owners but what I discovered is that all different types of businesses could benefit from what we had to offer from a financial process standpoint.

So here we are, ready to help all businesses implement the financial processes you need to give yourself and your business the best chance of success.

What gets measured get’s results!

I’m bringing my corporate experience to support small businesses to make better, more informed business decisions so they can live the life they want to live.

I am married to Sara, we have 2 children, Eve and Tomi and if i’m not working; you can find me coaching Tomi’s football team, helping Eve with her Horse, or playing golf.

Richard Wright min

Richard Wright

Richard joined the CDC team in April 2021, initially to support the extra demands of Furlough on the business. Richard has gone on to head up the Payroll department helping to launch Brightpay connect.

Richard and Chris have been friends since 1983, the year they were born, with Mums who are close friends. Chris knew Richard’s positive attitude would fit in with the team at CDC and even though Payroll is a new direction in Richard’s career he has embraced it fully and is now in full control of the payroll department, and ready to expand into other areas of the business.

Richards previous jobs saw him in roles such as Customer Service management, Supply Chain Management and Analysis.

Richard has a busy social life, when he’s not at the Zoo with Bev (his wife) and Demi (his daughter) you can find him at the gym, or working as an elite referee in the welsh leagues.

Jordan Evans min

Jordan Evans

Jordan studied BA hons in Accounting and Finance in Glyndwr university and graduated in August 2021.

It was a tough call between a career in sports or a career in accounting but some injuries meant accounting was a safer option!

After approaching CDC, Jordan came to interview and was offered a role here starting in February 2022. Jordan thrives in the working environment and is a valued team member owning his role and always looking for ways to improve the processes for our clients.

Jordan has been a devoted Wrexham FC fan since he was a young boy, still regularly attending games in his spare time.

Matthew Atherton min

Matthew Atherton

I first jumped into the world of accounting straight after my GCSE’s where I studied it at A-levels. I then studied Accounting & Finance at the University of Chester. In my third year I got a taste of real life accountancy where I completed a placement year at my local accountants gaining the knowledge and skills I would use for the future.

Once I finished university in 2020 I began studying for my ACCA qualification. My role at CDC Accounting involves completing final company accounts and tax returns while also producing management reports on a monthly basis for a wide portfolio of clients.

Outside of work you’ll either find me on the golf course, trying to better my 6.8 handicap or watching Manchester United.
